About silver sulfadiazine

You will have been prescribed silver sulfadiazine cream to prevent, or to treat, a bacterial skin infection. It is particularly helpful in preventing burn wounds and small skin grafts from becoming infected. It is also prescribed to help treat infected leg ulcers و pressure sores. It works by killing the germs (bacteria) responsible for skin infections.

Before using silver sulfadiazine

To make sure this is the right treatment for you, before you start using silver sulfadiazine it is important that your doctor knows:

How to use silver sulfadiazine

• Depending upon the reason you are using the cream, you may be directed to use it each day or several times a week. Your doctor will tell you how often is right for you, and this information will be on the label of the pack to remind you.
