St John Ambulance has introduced the Young Responders programme in the Humber region - a free initiative for 11-25-year-olds that teaches first aid skills. Run with the Humber Violence Prevention Partnership (HVPP) and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside (OPCC), it aims to give young people not only the skills but also the confidence to act in a crisis, while also addressing the mental health impact of first aid and how to access support.
