Can I take Aspirin and Spironolactone together?

Spironolactone works by helping your kidneys get rid of salt and water. Aspirin can block the chemical signals (prostaglandins) that the kidneys need to do this job effectively. Use this combination with caution. If you are taking aspirin for pain relief, consider using paracetamol instead. If you are taking low-dose aspirin (75mg to 150mg) for heart protection, do not stop taking it, but ensure your doctor monitors your kidney function and potassium levels regularly.
