However, you should avoid anti-inflammatory painkillers like ibuprofen or aspirin (unless specifically prescribed by your doctor), as these can significantly increase your risk of bleeding when combined with clopidogrel.

You must tell any surgeon, anaesthetist, or dentist that you are taking clopidogrel. You may need to stop taking it 7 days before any planned procedure to prevent excessive bleeding.
