Can I take Apixiban and Atavasatin together?

Apixaban and atorvastatin are processed by the same enzyme in the liver (CYP3A4). However, atorvastatin is not a strong enough 'inhibitor' or 'inducer' to change the levels of apixaban in your blood to a level that would cause concern.

You can continue to take both medications as prescribed by your doctor. You do not need to change the timing of your doses. As with any blood thinner, you should always watch for signs of unusual bleeding or bruising and report them to your healthcare provider.
